A Senior Developer will join the Global Spread Products eTrading technology team, contributing to the development of our Next Gen e-trading Platform to meet market and business needs.
Additional Information
The base salary varies by location and other factors. For Toronto, ON, it is CAD $115k – CAD $130k/year, including benefits.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Join the FIC Global Spread Products eTrading technology team as a Senior Developer.
- Contribute to building our state-of-the-art e-trading/algorithmic platform, ensuring it adapts to market and business needs.
- Collaborate with a diverse, global team fostering a culture of collective success.
- Engage in learning new technologies and applying them to innovate our trading systems.
- Influence architectural decisions and shape the strategic direction of our e-trading infrastructure.
Requirements
- Hardworking, dedicated, detail-oriented, quality-focused team player with effective communication skills.
- 10+ years of hands-on server-side Java coding, emphasizing Java Concurrency, RX Streams, Caching (GridGain), Collections API, Messaging, and Event processing.
- Strong Multithreading experience.
- 5+ years of coding experience with multicast messaging (Solace / RV).
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server / Sybase / Oracle).
- 5+ years designing low-latency trading application services.
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps tools (Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Helios).
Preferred but not required:
- 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
- Ability to manage and lead teams and deliverables.
