At Loblaw Digital, we build innovative online shopping experiences and impactful apps for Canadians. Based in downtown Toronto, our team is entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and collaborative, transforming online grocery shopping, beauty, pharmacy, loyalty, and apparel.
What you’ll do
- Define and drive the technical vision for our web development teams focused on enhancing customer experience.
- Coach and improve the technical skills of developers using your expertise.
- Champion the architecture of our web platform, ensuring best practices and minimal technical debt.
- Identify and advocate for improvements in technical processes to maximize team performance.
- Build strong relationships across the organization, collaborating to find optimal solutions, reusing standards or innovating as needed.
- Lead by example in software quality, engaging hands-on during key moments like proofs of concept, bug fixes, or high-priority hotfixes.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and continuous improvement.
Does this sound like you?
- 8+ years of experience with web technologies (Java, Node.js) and architectures, including legacy systems, cloud computing, high-demand environments, and microservices.
- Strong expertise in GCP services (Cloud Platform, Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Interconnect).
- Thought leader in innovation, championing technology practice maturation with stakeholders.
