Our Energy subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. From small installations to multi-phase integrated megaprojects, we support your upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas activities and energy transition markets at all stages of the project lifecycle, anywhere in the world. We are focused on providing design, engineering and environmental services that contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, sustain the use and protection of water and marine resources, protect and restore biodiversity, and support our clients as they transition to low carbon solutions. To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our teams located any one of our Canadian offices with preference for Calgary, AB.
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Structural Engineer to join WSP’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural engineering and structural dynamic principles, proficient in FEA, analytical, detailed-oriented, critical thinker, and a problem solver. They will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on a range of challenging and rewarding projects

What you can expect to do here:

Establish design criteria, prepare engineering specifications, design calculations, material take offs (MTO) in accordance with project requirements.

You’ll support the planning, scheduling, cost control activities in the design as related to the Project Plan

You’ll propose solutions for improving or optimizing processes, programs, and procedures. Assist in resolving complex problems requiring a comprehensive and detailed analysis and multi-disciplinary understanding.
