The student Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and team in planning, coordination, and technical execution on a multi-discipline mining project. This developmental role offers hands-on experience with engineering design systems, project delivery practices, and technical communication.
Main Accountabilities
- Assist with coordination across engineering disciplines to support safe, cost-effective, and technically sound designs.
- Participate in technical reviews and help maintain design quality and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate and support the Request for Information (RFI) process, tracking RFIs and assisting in drafting responses.
- Help monitor and update project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
- Organize and maintain project drawings, specifications, and technical records.
- Assist in tracking technical changes and document version control.
- Participate in team meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Communicate with designers, engineers, and document control for effective information exchange.
- Provide administrative support for technical reviews and design sessions.
- Learn and apply project management systems and tools used by the teams.
