The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations to take full strategic and operational command of our portfolio of studios. This is a senior executive role for a leader with a proven track record in multi-unit management. Reporting directly to the owners, you will be responsible for standardizing excellence, driving profitability, and leading our teams across all three locations. Your primary objective is to implement scalable systems and build a cohesive operational structure that allows for sustained growth while preserving the integrity of our premium brand.
Your Responsibilities Multi-Unit Leadership & Strategy:
- Provide direct oversight and leadership for all existing and future studios.
- Lead long-term capacity planning, including evaluating and preparing for new markets, studio expansions, or relocations.
- Benchmark competitors and identify industry best practices to continuously evolve our operational playbook.
- Develop and implement standardized operational procedures (SOPs) to ensure a consistent, high-quality brand experience across all locations.
- Travel regularly between all three locations to support teams, monitor operations, and ensure standards are met.
Team Leadership & Performance:
- Manage a team of studio staff and Xformer coaches across the entire portfolio.
- Establish a robust framework for hiring, training, and performance management to build and retain top talent.
- Implement leadership training and succession planning to strengthen bench talent and reduce turnover risk.
- Oversee employee culture initiatives to maintain alignment with brand values and foster team engagement.
Growth: Sales, Partnerships & Marketing:
- Design and execute our sales strategy to drive revenue streams, including corporate wellness programs and B2B memberships.
- Identify, negotiate, and foster strategic partnerships with complementary local businesses and brands to enhance our offering and expand our reach.
- Oversee the execution of the studio’s marketing plan, managing agency relationships and ensuring brand message consistency across all channels.
- Analyze customer acquisition funnels and retention metrics to optimize lifetime value across membership types.
- Develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns that balance accessibility with premium positioning.
Financial & Operational Oversight:
- Assume full P&L responsibility for all three locations, managing budgets, analyzing financial reports, and driving profitability.
- Become the chief expert and administrator of our management platform ( Momence ), leveraging its data to inform strategy and optimize performance across the network.
- Manage all high-level vendor and partner relationships for the entire business.
Who You Are
- Entrepreneurial spirit & ambition: You are ambitious, curious, and motivated, with the long-term desire to become a partner/owner.
- A Leader with a proven track record in management: A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive management experience, preferably in a high-growth, multi-unit retail, hospitality, or boutique fitness environment.
- A Systems-Builder: You excel at creating, implementing, and enforcing standardized processes that can scale across multiple locations.
- Financially Astute: You are skilled at reading financial statements, managing P&L reports, and using data to make informed business decisions.
- Tech-Savvy: You are highly proficient with business software (CRM, Gsuite, Slack, booking platforms). Direct experience with Momence is a significant advantage.
- An Inspiring Mentor: You have a gift for leading and developing other managers and front-line staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Perfectly Bilingual: You possess executive-level fluency in both French and English (written and spoken). This is mandatory for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field
Compensation :
Base Salary: $85,000 to $105,000 (commensurate with experience)
Annual Bonus: Tied to the overall profitability and growth of our studio portfolio
