We are seeking an experienced Systems QA Specialist with a strong background in the medical technology industry to join our team. You will work closely with our development team to create and execute feature, integration, and end-to-end tests. You will use your QA expertise to help us make safe and effective medical devices.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the development of new products and the improvement of existing systems. You will need to have a strong understanding of system, software, cloud, and hardware verification principles and techniques, as well as experience with building automated testing tools and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Generating and documenting high-level verification plans for future releases including regression, integration, and functional strategies.
- Generating and executing detailed comprehensive low-level manual and automated test protocols based on requirements.
- Performing and producing formal documented reports for the results of verification protocols for software, embedded systems, hardware, mechanical, production tools, and cloud components.
- Evaluating and modifying requirements to ensure testability and appropriate measurement tolerance.
- Identifying and documenting changes to specifications during planning by soliciting input from SMEs.
- Configuring and maintaining test hardware, jigs, and diagnostic equipment to support testing efforts.
- Working in a cross-functional team to improve the scope and efficiency of device-level testing in manufacturing.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, human factors engineering, medical technology, or similar.
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a system-level QA role.
- Deep understanding of building and executing both manual and automated test protocols covering all levels of systems including electrical, mechanical, embedded, cloud, and application software.
- Strong scripting/coding skills for developing test protocols and small utility functions.
- Experience working with numerical computation using Python, Matlab, Octave, or R is beneficial.
- Proficiency with developing formal verification documentation in a regulated industry to support clearance. Knowledge of medical device regulations is an advantage.
- Experience testing systems transmitting over wireless or unreliable communications channels.
- Experience using Robot Framework and Appium to create automated tests for iOS applications.
- Experience with testing application software, electrical, mechanical components, and embedded systems.
