Fromstart-up to scale-up: we’retacklingittogether

CMBlu Energy is developing from a start-up focussing on research into a manufacturing scale-up that is on its way to series production. Around 240 employees are working towards this goal at CMBlu Energy. Our head office is in Alzenau near Frankfurt, with a branch office in Obernburg. There are also subsidiaries in Athens, Greece and Petaluma, USA.

As Head of Electrical Systems (m/f/d), you will build the entire Electrical Engineering department from scratch. You’ll determine how our electrical systems for the groundbreaking Organic-SolidFlow battery will look and assemble a strong team. The power electronics you develop will be key to making our innovative battery technology accessible to customers – playing a crucial role in the success of CMBlu

Your Tasks

  • Build and lead a team: Define the required competencies and hire your team members.
  • Develop power electronics: Design inverters and electrical systems for a completely new battery technology.
  • Shape grid integration: Create solutions for efficiently connecting our storage systems to the power grid.
  • Coordinate collaboration: Manage external partners and suppliers.

Your Profile

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in developing electrical systems and power electronics.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale projects.
  • Enthusiasm for creative freedom and the challenge of building something new.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
