Position: Team Lead – Women Secure Forensic Unit & Structured Observation and Treatment Unit
Reporting to the Manager of WSFU/SOTU, the Team Lead supports effective coordination of client/patient-centered care, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities include managing communication for admissions, discharges, transfers, and appointments; coordinating staff assignments, breaks, and training; facilitating unit meetings and care conferences; and maintaining accurate reports and documentation.
The ideal candidate will be a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario, with a current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate. Preference will be given to those pursuing or possessing a BScN and CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health and addictions, especially with forensic populations, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on safety and risk mitigation.
This full-time, permanent position is part of the ONA Bargaining Unit, based at the Queen Street Site, with a day shift schedule. Additional hours may be available based on operational needs.
