Tier 1 Client Services Consultant

About Your Role

The ideal Client Service Consultant is passionate about solving technical problems and aims to leave clients with a WOW experience. They are personable, accountable, and committed to delivering excellent support. The successful candidate will provide Tier I support for our IT Service clients, including basic network and system setup, hardware and software administration.

Schedule

  • 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Some weekend availability
  • On-call responsibilities
  • Hybrid work arrangement

Responsibilities

  • Provide rotational 24/7 support for connectivity, hosting, email, data centre, and FlexHour clients via phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Support end users through Service & Help Desk
  • Provision, configure, test, and install system and network devices for various connectivity services
  • Respond promptly to emergency support requests within SLA guidelines
  • Collaborate with Tier II/III/IV teams on project implementations

Qualifications

  • Secondary School diploma (preferred)
  • 2-year Computing & Information Technology diploma or higher
  • 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
  • Strong English communication skills (C1/7.0 IELTS or equivalent)
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of IP protocols, routing, switching, VPN, DNS, and email
  • Experience with Routers, Unix/Linux Servers, VMware
  • Firewall and VPN setup experience
  • Hardware installation and minor repairs
  • Valid BC driver’s license

Bonus Skills

  • Additional hardware installation skills
  • Programming (C, Java, PHP, Node.js)
  • Database management (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL)
  • Windows Server management
  • Certifications (HDI, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, ITIL)
  • Experience in IT Service Management
