About the VP of Marketing role
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven VP of Marketing to lead marketing efforts for the company’s portfolio of truck parking sites nationwide. This role will be the key marketing leader responsible for planning, developing and implementing regional and national marketing and advertising strategies that drive demand, support revenue growth, and enhance our brand presence, with a focus on direct execution in key markets, targeting individual drivers; owner-operators; freight companies and fleets, in addition to building brand awareness to cultivate partnership opportunities with commercial real estate brokers, fleet brokers and stakeholders.
As VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing targeted marketing strategies for individual drivers, owner-operators and commercial fleet companies and brokers, commercial real estate (CRE) brokers and individual property owners, ensuring that we effectively attracts, acquires and retains key customer segments. In addition to helping bridge our overall marketing and advertising strategy and localized execution, you will work cross-functionally with sales, finance and operations teams to ensure marketing programs effectively support business objectives regionally and nationally. Central to the role will be the ability to assess challenges, opportunities and other critical inputs from the business and turn those into actionable strategic marketing plans.
This role reports directly to the CEO and will work alongside the company’s VP of Finance and Strategy and VP of Operations to identify gaps and opportunities within the current marketing strategy and build campaigns to align with the company’s short- and long-term goals. The role demands exceptional cross-regional and -functional collaboration skills, creativity, and the ability to manage and execute strategies that address both national opportunities and local market nuances.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead national marketing initiatives within an early-stage startup organization, with experience and confidence around the latest marketing platforms and trends, including Google Ads, and a proven track record of delivering measurable results across both B2B and B2C audiences.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Develop and implement the national marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, growth, retention, and engagement across priority markets
- Act as the primary marketing point of contact for us, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with business goals.
- Oversee our Google Ads strategy and ensure that it aligns with broader marketing strategy
- Work closely with the sales team to generate high-quality leads and support/optimize conversion efforts.
- Become the SME for all marketing initiatives, products and customer segments.
- Define and monitor all key performance metrics in support of the business goals. Develop and deliver all reporting to update stakeholders and leadership, ensuring business has visibility into marketing plans and performance against regional goals.
- Budget, track, manage and allocate the corresponding location P&L.
Demand Generation & Growth Marketing
- Drive national and regional brand awareness and lead-generation efforts for all customer segments.
- Own and optimize the full marketing funnel, from awareness to conversion, ensuring a seamless journey for prospective customers and partners.
- Analyze national and localized marketing performance and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Work with digital teams to optimize local SEO, Google Ads campaigns, and website conversion.
Audience Messaging & Brand Building
- Develop compelling messaging for diverse customer segments (individuals, enterprises, brokers) for national and regional application and execution.
- Drive market research and competitive analysis to highlight our differentiators and market leadership.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in marketing and content strategies.
- Enhance our brand visibility in key markets through impactful campaigns and activations.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective customers and partners via participation in targeted events, sponsorships, and partnerships
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales and strategy teams to support our growth.
- Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure marketing budgets are allocated effectively and deliver strong ROI.
- Manage relationships with any external agencies, vendors, and partners to support marketing efforts.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in marketing required, with a strong background in national and direct execution in regional or field marketing and lead-generation, growth marketing, and both B2C and B2B demand generation.
- Experience in parking and transportation; coworking, self-storage or freight and logistics industries is preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (GoHiLevel experience is a plus)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally with sales, finance and strategy teams.
