RETS Associates is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our client’s growing acquisitions team. This role is critical to managing all aspects of the real estate acquisition process for healthcare-related assets, including medical office buildings and ambulatory surgery centers. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in due diligence, transaction management, and financial analysis, with a track record of coordinating cross-functional teams and driving successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead due diligence and closings for nationwide acquisitions, including review of data rooms, tenant financials, leases (particularly in sale-leasebacks), title/survey/zoning, and property/environmental reports, with internal and external support.
- Compare diligence findings to underwriting models (Excel/ARGUS) and manage risk across a high-volume pipeline.
- Coordinate a wide range of stakeholders (attorneys, lenders, asset managers, BD, and others) to ensure smooth, timely closings.
- Negotiate PSAs with outside counsel, balancing speed with risk management.
- Assess tenant credit and recommend appropriate enhancements to ensure rent stability.
- Manage and oversee Dealpath, our transaction management platform.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions (healthcare preferred).
- Strong grasp of CRE due diligence and risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with credit analysis and legal documentation.
- Proficiency in Excel, ARGUS, and Dealpath preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
