POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Warehouse & Distribution Manager is responsible for providing and coordinating all Warehouse, inventory control and Transportation functions for the facility. The role is responsible for meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets and fostering a working environment that is fair, equitable and driven to continuously improve.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and Ensure Health & Safety / HACCP / 5S Compliance
- Ensures all team members are trained and performing in a safe and efficient manner using the appropriate PPE when applicable. Provide the training when appropriate.
- Lead accident/incident investigations and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Proactively identify and suggest ways to eliminate hazards.
- Correct unsafe acts or conditions, ensuring health & safety policies are followed.
- Regularly audit the Warehouse to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and ensure that inspections are appropriately documented.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture with a safety and continuous improvement mindset.
